The research and development project of the consortium led by Clarity Consulting, aimed at analyzing databases and IT systems, has been awarded a grant.
The application of the consortium formed by Clarity Consulting and SZEGED Software receives 363.67 million HUF in non-refundable European Union funding under the GINOP-2.1.1-15 framework.
The objective of the work is to design methodologies that enable the analysis and evaluation of database structures and data connections, as well as the development and market launch of software tools based on this methodology. The 24-month research and development activity will be implemented in Szeged.
Clarity Consulting Kft., operating since 2001, is a Hungarian-owned company specializing in business and IT consulting and the implementation of IT solutions. Among the company's strategic goals is the increase of its export revenues, which it plans to achieve, among other things, by bringing internationally competitive products to market and continually developing them, including the software developed within the framework of this newly launching project.
SZEGED Software Zrt. was founded in 1989. The company's profile is the development of software applications that satisfy the business-critical, specialized IT needs of wholesale companies' logistics. The company's partners are primarily pharmaceutical wholesalers. In addition to strengthening the company's existing market position, it has set two strategic goals: on the one hand, to strengthen its market share in pharmaceutical wholesaling abroad, and on the other, to extend its existing software products to other economic fields. These goals are supported by the creation of the product family formulated in the grant-winning application.
The goal of the research subtasks is to develop methodologies considered a global novelty, through which the structure of a given database can be uncovered, its quality evaluated based on objective criteria, and the designer and developer knowledge coded within the IT system extracted. In the research, the consortium is supported by the expert assistance of university partners.
The development tasks based on the research results aim at the development of automatic analysis and knowledge visualization programs. The first practical application of the new methodologies and tools will also be realized, during which, by transforming an existing pharmaceutical wholesale logistics software, we will create a new product; a wholesale logistics software marketable in other sectors as well.
The project receives 363.67 million HUF in European Union support within the framework of the Széchenyi 2020 program under the call supporting the R&D&I activities of companies (GINOP-2.1.1-15), which allows the consortium members to create eight new research positions and significantly increase both their R&D&I and export revenues.
The research and development tasks will be carried out in Szeged.
