How we helped the KórházSuli (HospitalSchool) Foundation in 2021
On Clarity's 20th anniversary, our colleagues joined forces for a significant cause. In addition to keeping themselves healthy, they have also made a huge contribution to the KórházSuli Foundation, and for the sick children who has to study at home. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, let's see how our biggest fundraising campaign ever started.
Over the years, we have always been very keen on charitable opportunities, so we decided to launch an exciting initiative for our anniversary in early 2021. The Clarity Sports Circle and CSR team jointly designed the campaign, inviting our team to play sports every week. Our aim was to collect kilometres each week through the chosen form of exercise (walking, running, hiking, cycling, swimming, rowing) and for every 20 kilometres we do each week, Clarity will donate 20 forints to a charity, which will be selected by the CSR team at the end of the year.
As the kilometres accumulated, we decided which organisation to help this year. We decided on the KórházSuli Foundation, who provide comprehensive support to children who have been discharged from hospital but are still away from school, helping them to integrate, recover and guaranteeing education for those in need. Over the past years, thanks to their volunteers, they have educated more than 600 sick children recovering in their homes. But in addition to direct help, they also support families and mother schools through ongoing communication.
Since April, the Clarity team has covered 26,768 kilometres for the charity, while also contributing to the HospitalSoul initiative through direct donations. Thus, at the end of the year, 11 tablets were handed over to make learning and recovery easier for sick children.
We really enjoyed the beneficial, collective movement and we are happy to have supported those in need in achieving the two most important values, their health and knowledge. We trust that our story will inspire others to take similar initiatives to help the world where it is needed.
