Selection and procurement of BI tool for statistical data processing

Our client has a very sophisticated data asset comes from nature of its authority oriented activity. This data asset covers the macro and micro level business operation related data of the Hungarian financial sector. In order to analyse this wide range of data our client has been using different BI tools for supporting data transformation and reporting tasks. In order to consolidate this complex BI operation and toolset they decided to initiate a project for selection a unified BI tool to exploit the data from a data warehouse. We were assigned to research and identify the potential BI tools which cover the requirement of the National Bank of Hungary and ask the software companies to present their solutions. These presentations were based on a specific data transformation and reporting exercise should be implemented in the given BI tools.  After the presentations we developed a decision support document for our client describing the proposed BI architecture.

• Sample database for BI presentation exercise with 70 million data record
• Definition of a very specific data transformation exercise for the presenters
• Detailed analyses of functionality and performance of 7 best matching BI software
