Taking part in creation of the public Hungarian National State Inventory

Our client keeps record of, operates and monitors the use of the assets owned by the State of Hungary.
Under the National Inventory Program our client launched several projects to establish an integrated, reliable database and a transparent information system for state-owned assets and made the inventory data publicly accessible to citizens.

The following main targets were defined:

  • Modernized processes;
  • Modern methods and equipment for data collection, storage and reporting;
  • Data cleansing and definition of improved methods for future data generation.

To accomplish these goals, an integrated asset inventory (ERP) system and a public National Inventory Portal has been implemented. As a result, citizens can access quantity and value data of real estates and company shares owned by the State of Hungary on a public website.
The Program was an important step towards transforming the government’s operations more transparent.
Clarity Consulting provided conceptual system design, requirement specification, project management support, quality assurance, expert services and testing.
In 2015, this work received the Gold Medal of the Constantinus International Award for the world’s best consulting project finished in the previous year.

Results in numbers:

  • 20 main asset categories, over 700 different asset types;
  • total value of the assets in the inventory: more than 40,000 million EUR
  • 500+ internal users
  • about 850,000 migrated records
